Bad PDR and Scams
Hole Drilling Policy
One of the biggest signs of a bad PDR job is a
ton of drilled holes. Most dents can be accessed without drilling a
hole by utilizing the proper tool. Excessive drilling is most often
done by inexperienced or lazy technicians.
About Your Dents will only drill a hole if
there is no other way to gain access to the dent, and we will ALWAYS
check with you before doing so to get approval. Any hole we drill
will be correctly done and properly filled with
a rust-proofed
and appropriately
sized plug.
Dent Completion
Another thing you will find with a bad PDR job
is that the dent isn’t satisfactorily completed when they are
“finished”. A simple dent that should have been repaired flawlessly
will show bends and bumps in the right light.
About Your Dents will do a quality repair job
every time, repairing every dent to the fullest extent possible. We
generally know in advance how fully repairable a dent will be and
will always discuss that with you. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Scams
A common scam surfacing nowadays is a so-called
“mobile repair technician” who offers to do extremely cheap repairs
on your car’s body. They supposedly fix your dents, but actually
fill it in with a light grey primer or red glazing putty over a
freshly spray-painted body. When they give it back to you, it looks
as if they completed the repair and waxed the car for you. They
claim that the wax will dry off in a few days and need to be
polished off, after which you will have a good-as-new car. In
truth, they merely made your easy dent a difficult and frustrating
problem for you!
